The UHS Corporate Process & Performance Improvement Department is hiring a Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Operations who is responsible for the coordination and advancement of clinical activities and corporate pharmacy initiatives in UHS Acute Care Division hospitals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports expansion of clinical activities and works to promote consistency in daily provision of clinical pharmacy services
  • Provides up to date evidence-based drug information to pharmacy departments, medical staff, and support staff at all Acute Care facilities. Supports the Corporate Pharmacy strategic plan providing data and therapeutic evaluations for identified objectives
  • Provides support and information for P&T committees at the facility level. Contributes to current policies and procedures, including templates for P&T Committee agendas and minutes
  • Develops or identifies a clinical competency assessment and training development tools for use by facility clinical coordinators; make resources available to clinical coordinators for implementation at their facilities
  • Develops an on-line communication resource or clearinghouse for UHS facilities to permit sharing of guidelines, standing orders, best practices, and educational activities that have been established at other facilities within the corporation

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelors' degree with 10 or more years' of experience, Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.

  • In depth knowledge of Clinical Pharmacy and drug information

  • Experienced in the development and operation of high-level clinical pharmacy support and the provision of drug information

  • Travel estimated 25% annually
