Job Description Summary This position to work independently applying extensive Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to implement and maintain Fire Protection (FP) program requirements. The position must coordinate effectively with all work groups and may require ownership or coordination of other programs as assigned by site leadership. Job Description The Fire Protection (FP) Program Engineer works independently applying extensive SME knowledge to implement and maintain FP program requirements. The position must coordinate effectively with all work groups. The following are specific requirements to theFP program: Maintain requirements for FP program in accordance with licensing basis requirements and regulatory commitments Comply with industry FP codes and standards Comply with 10CFR50 Appendix R rules Maintain program documents and database information current with Fire Safe Shutdown Calculations and other licensing and design basis documents. Perform Contract coordinator duties for vendor FP contracts as required Coordinate FP program activities during normal operation and outages Support Fire Marshall and FP Program Supervisor in the execution of their work activities. Provide support for other Engineering Programs as needed. Other responsibilities include: Maintaining a position in the Emergency Response Organization Outage Support, which may include additional days and/or extended work hours Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:** 4 yrs.
