Job Description:

Operational Controller

Key Task

Undertake financial responsibility for the $60 million business, located in Newton, NH - overseeing Terex Newton and CBI Europe B.V legal entities. Ownership for the preparation of financial information for the business, providing strong leadership to the Finance team, including high level financial advice, incisive analysis and input on how to drive profitability, and efficiency in the business. Leadership for the provision of both US GAAP information. Provide key support and work with customers and Terex dealers to support sales while maintaining financial control. Support the CBI & CBI EU General Managers in the running the Newton and Netherlands businesses and the P & L's, deputizing for them with segment and corporate leadership, overseeing specific projects and running analytics where required. In conjunction with the General Managers - provide leadership for the ongoing strategy including accountability for success and help to grow the CBI leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the Finance team, including financial and management accounting process, balance sheet review and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure complete financial control is maintained including compliance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policy and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly reporting and the forecasting process.
  • Participate in formulating and delivering business strategy.
  • Drive business improvement and support this through the provision of accurate and timely financial information, working closely with the cross functional managers.
  • Provide support to commercial decision-making processes and business development.
  • Ensure annual planning and budgeting process is delivered on time and matched to delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Manage the working capital cycle of the business with particular focus on inventory and receivable control and management.
  • Support successful implementation of new IT systems and structures.
  • Establish credit limits, resolve disputes and monitor collections.

Education

  • Degree
  • Professional Accounting qualification is preferred

Experience

  • 3+ years'experience in a financial leadership role.
  • Broad base of global experience working in financialmanagement in a manufacturing/industrial/capital goods environment-desirable.

Skills:

  • Excellent technical knowledge including US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Good knowledge of central reporting (One stream)
  • Epicor ERP a plus
  • Ability to identify and implement improvementopportunities
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop, implement and monitor internal controls over financial reporting and other business processes
  • Business acumen, with ability to partner to the product line leader, whilst maintaining fiduciaryresponsibilities.
