Durolast Inc. located in Carrollton, Texas looking for technically skilled candidate with good attention-to-detail for the position of a Metal Fabricator. This candidate will be responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met.

Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
  • Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, brakes, and shears.
  • Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
  • Fabricating and constructing metal components.
  • Grinding and finishing completed products.
  • Performing quality checks on completed products.
  • Conforming with company safety regulations.
  • Completing job reports.

Metal Fabricator Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' previous work experience as a metal fabricator is required
  • Trade school certification is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints.
  • Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, break presses, rollers and manual sheet metal tools.
  • Basic geometry skills required.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
