Job Summary:

The Master Data Analyst (IT) will provide a high level of product specific support for hardware/software depending on the specialty areas assigned. Collaborate with peers in IT for products and direct interface with IT management as well as all levels of functional counterparts (including executives). Support the end users with IT technology in support of plant and office goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work as a core member of the master data team (Product, Customer, Vendor) to define the master data governance process and maintain data standards
  • Understand the current master data in SAP and identify key areas of improvement. Coordinate with respective IT and functional resources to provide solution
  • Participate in business requirement and process development workshops for SAP master data sessions
  • Act as a key member of the IT team during a transitional period of modernization to the group
  • Responsible for deploying a Master Data Management system to meet business strategy across functional teams and writing the technical documentation for master data governance process
  • Communicates and coordinates with business users, managers, fellow SAP Business Analysts, and Master Data Management leads to ensure the integration of processes and modules across the organization
  • Act as lead during entire Life Cycle Development of new projects in a Master Data Governance tool
  • Develop and deliver training on key functional area within a Master Data Tool
  • Act as lead on any integrations between SAP, SAP S4 and any other external system
  • Identifies current as well as future state needs and guides major solutions with little up-front information
  • Provide and guide long term vision for analytic platform which will impact all areas of the business (commercial, finance, operations, etc)

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant work experience and at least 1 successful implementation of MDG solution

Experience:

  • 1+ successful implementation of enterprise Master Data solution (MDG, Boomi, Informatica or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP master data
  • 6+ years of maintaining master data workflow and processes
  • Experience with SAP ECC 6.8 environment a plus
  • Experience with S/4 HANA environment a plus
  • Chemical industry experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Significant technical knowledge, with specific ability to apply knowledge to business process solutions
  • Broad-based technical knowledge of end user IT technology preferred.
  • Experience with large Full Life Cycle (FLC) project implementations, with hands on delivery and managing both onshore and offshore teams
  • Experience with all aspects of the system implementation process of system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation support
  • Experienced in both Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with all level of stakeholders, support personnel, and clients
  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio, and SAP preferred
