Senior Accounting Analyst - Revenue Accounting

Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements and other accounting schedules and reports. . Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures

Prepare analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance of GAAP.
• Responsible for accruals, provisions, account reconciliations and other month end close activity.
• Oversee the posting, balancing and reconciliation of accounting activity for the business unit.
• Review long term contracts in order to prepare accounting impact analysis.
• Execute Analyst work (e.g., prepare invoices, cash receipt applications, journal entries, account reconciliations) as needed to ensure smooth team workflow
• Assist Senior Manager in coordinating month-end Close and ensuring all deadlines are met
• Deliver accurate, thorough, well-presented, and actionable ad-hoc analyses under restrictive time constraints
• Prepare and/or review Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Variance Analyses to explain business dynamics that drive changes in Balance Sheet accounts
• Prepare and/or review monthly Revenue Analyses to measure performance across all Business Lines
• Drive timely collections of Receivables by communicating with customers and Sales & Marketing personnel
• Demonstrate continually deepening understanding of all Atlas revenue sources along with other drivers of Receivables
• Lead implementation of process improvements to streamline accounting, reporting, and analytical functions
• Assist in development and implementation of new and/or upgraded financial systems
• Lead and coordinate team responses to internal and external audit requests
• Ensure adherence to revenue recognition policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to internal controls related to revenue and accounts receivable

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• 5 -7 years of experience in Accounting in roles of progressively greater responsibility
• CPA or Masters preferred
• JD Edwards fluency
• Public Accounting background
• Revenue / AR Accounting experience
• Airline Industry experience a plus

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (emphasis on presentation, accuracy, speed, and creativity)
• Highly analytical
• Can-do creative approach to independent research and problem solving

Salary Range: $82,900 - $112,000

Financial offer within the stated range is contingent on the qualification of selected candidates
