What you'll be doing...

The Distinguished Architect reports directly to the Managing Director to fulfill the role of trusted adviser for Verizon Enterprise on key clients' deals and internally to stakeholders. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Engage with the leadership team to help drive strategic initiatives across the Investment segment Solutions Architecture team.
  • Work with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts to build a holistic view of the client's strategy, processes, and information technology assets.
  • Leverage knowledge to ensure the Investment segment strategy aligns to market demands and needs, that our partner community is managed, and actively seeks opportunities to improve success across the team.
  • Provide support on large, complex customer engagements, putting together solutions across multi-towers (Cloud, Network, Security, Professional Services, UC&C, etc.), supporting literature, diagrams, write-ups, and responses.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the industry and Verizon systems, processes, product offerings, and services to enable effective client communications.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Engineering or Computer Science or or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Six or more years of experience in designing and implementing complex solutions for Fortune 500 companies.
  • Advanced design and sales skills in at least three of the following:Data and IP Services (RAN, LTE, 5G, Internet, SDN, MPLS),Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Private Cellular, WiFi), Managed Security Solutions, Customer Experience and Voice Technologies.
  • Industry certifications.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems.
