Apple is looking for a CV Data Architect with exceptional technical and communication skills to contribute on high-impact projects that will enable game-changing future Apple products. In this highly cross-functional role, a successful candidate will collaborate with partner teams to architect various data collection systems that are used for algorithm development and product validation.
Key Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in CV/ML algorithm development process including, knowledge of common algorithms (used in battery-operated products with cameras), ground truth methodologies and standard performance evaluation metrics.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders (Algorithms, Hardware, User study, etc.) to define requirements for data collection systems, understand trades, sensitivities, budgets, flows and risks in various implementations and drive convergence to final solution.
  • Experience with the product development cycle and systems engineering methodologies. A successful candidate will lead with systems rigor by treating data as a product, starting with requirements that are grounded in use-cases and incorporating validation planning early in the process.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and align with peers while navigating complex trade-spaces and ability to summarize learnings, take-aways and recommendations in a succinct way to executive leadership. Needs to work closely with engineering program managers on timelines and maintain clear communication on milestones and expectations.
Description
Ideal candidate must have proven track record of having participated in the development of consumer electronic products with computer vision features. Should have broad understanding of hardware and technologies that are employed in low-power hand-held / wearable devices. Must be a self-starter who is highly-motivated and an organized thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education & Experience
BS + 15 yrs of relevant proven experience. Masters/PhD + 10yrs of relevant proven experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
