Description

Perform the system maintenance requested on the Service Event or Work Request based on department procedures and internal controls, including restricted, non-restricted, and critical maintenance. Afterward, the documentation is scanned to our Document Retention System. Answer phone calls from our internal and external clients related to the client's loans account; work with our Dealer Floor Plan system (Data Scan); work on Real Estate Tax bill mailings to obtain tax bills for subsequent distribution; research credit disputes and perform various system maintenance to correct client billing exceptions, post loan adjustments, clear balance activity, and other duties.

Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________

1. Performs a variety of tasks for the process of supporting the credit servicing function of which the following are illustrative:

a. Provides credit reports to appropriate customer service personnel on prospective borrowers within proper procedure.

b. Assists with loan application processing tasks, e.g., obtains required information, compiles data, etc., as directed.

c. Coordinates the organization and procurement of required loan documentation, utilizes the appropriate checklist.

d. Creates a separate loan file for each credit in accordance with prescribed operating policy.

e. Verifies and processes a wide variety of credit information which will become part of the credit file, e.g., insurances, forms, etc.

f. Maintains required information and notifies appropriate personnel of credit information deficiencies as appropriate.

g. Dispenses credit information within prescribed policy.

h. Provides information for, and assists in the preparation of, various loan reports as directed.

i. Assists in the ongoing process of documenting required collateral and monitoring collateral control records; reports deficiencies to supervisor.

j. Prepares a variety of letters and forms such as commitment letters, adverse action letters for declined loans, etc.; calculates estimated payments; types optional insurance disclosure and acknowledgment forms and verification of deposit and verification of employment forms.

k. Prepares and maintains files and records relating to assigned loans.

l. Maintains a current knowledge of bank products and their features and benefits.

m. Identifies and suggests bank products/services to customers as opportunities occur; refers persons to proper person/department as needed.

n. Maintains a number of activity logs to generate weekly or monthly reports.

o. Balances and reconciles selected credit accounts as directed.

2. Supports the organization's commitment to ongoing quality service enhancement by participating in multi-disciplined guidance and project teams, as appropriate.

3. Complies with regulations and laws relating to the function of the position.

4. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to the requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

5. Supports the organization's commitment to ongoing quality service enhancement by participating in multi-disciplined guidance and project teams, as appropriate.

6. Abides by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment, which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

7. Conducts all business affairs, both personally and as a representative of the organization according to the high ethical and professional standards established by FCFC and the banking affiliate Board of Directors, and according to the approved Conflict of Interest/Business Ethics Policy.

8. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.

9. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

10. Assumes responsibility for assisting in his/her professional development; adheres to the guidelines and targets established within his/her Performance Assessments.

11. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or department as well as with other units and departments in order to insure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

12. Other job-related duties as assigned or directed.

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum of two (2) years related experience is required.

3. Proficient mathematics skills; knowledge of computer systems such as LaserPro, CIF, Word, Excel, Grow systems, mainframe, and Loan Prospector.

4. Moderate interpersonal relations; moderate typing skills; moderate report writing and analytical skills and supervisory skills sufficient to provide training.

5. Ability to comply with established budgets and operate within budgetary constraints.

6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
