Responsibilities

New opportunity based in Billerica MA for an RF Probe Technician to join the Bruker BioSpin Probes Team.

    Repair, test, and tune RF assemblies from component to top assembly
  • Provide quick-turn product specific technical applications technical support to our customers
  • Set up test equipment for a variety of manual tests
  • Perform bench level repair of RF probe heads using hand tools and electronic test equipment
  • Utilize RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meter and signal generators for testing
  • Provide effective and timely troubleshooting and communication through verbal, email and electronic media with customer
  • Coordinate lab maintenance, including managing parts and component stock.
  • Complete and update technical recordkeeping
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years recent work experience involving RF electronics with proven RF knowledge
  • Significant on-the-job work experience involving hand soldering with electronics and components
  • Graduate of a 2-year electronic technology school or 6 months military electronics experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and solder skills involving RF components
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues to the component level
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and related materials
  • Advanced attention to details and to perform additional testing as required
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication skills including fluent English, and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact directly with customers, effectively providing information and responding to questions in a timely, professional, responsive, and courteous manner
  • Working knowledge of Bruker technologies is desirable
  • This position requires lifting heavy objects and maneuvering large bulky items
  • This position requires reasonable dexterity to perform manual functions in confined spaces
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
