Summary



  • Position Summary



    • Are you a good teacher? Do you enjoy helping others to reach their full potential? The Job Coach position supports working youth and adults with disabilities in Cumberland and York County by:

      - providing support to individuals in jobs in their communities, either at the individual's job site for specified hours, or off-site.

      - training individuals in learning specific job tasks, assessing progress toward mastery, and developing goals and interventions to maximize independence.

      - implementing rehabilitation plans with clients, in coordination and collaboration with family and referral agencies.

      - facilitating development of individuals' natural supports at work.

      This specific position works Fridays from 8:30a - 3:00p but could expand by one additional weekday in the future. Training and case-specific instruction is provided.





  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



    • Education: Requires general education development necessary to provide supervision and training to people with disabilities at a level normally acquired through completion of two years of college. Completion of the Maine Employment Curriculum preferred.


    • License/Certifications: N/A


    • Experience: Six months of previous job coaching experience and/or experience working with people with disabilities in a related field preferred.


    • Requires analytical ability necessary to provide training and guidance to people with disabilities and evaluate performance.
