Description

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technician to work from our Warrenton or Richmond, VA office. This position involves construction field inspection and testing of construction materials. Inspection areas include foundation inspection, concrete placement inspection, and quality control testing. Must be willing to travel and stay near projects within Warrenton and Richmond, VA.



  • Work with minor oversight after receiving appropriate training.
  • Interface with clients and contractors on-site.
  • Inspect foundations for adherence to specifications.
  • Sample and test concrete for quality control.
  • Complete forms and write inspection reports.

Qualifications
Education
Associates of Civil Engineering (required)
Experience
2 years of related field required or equivalent experience. (required)
ACI certification for concrete testing desired. (required)
Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. (required)
Construction and/or testing experience desired. (preferred)
Ability to effectively communicate and prepare daily field reports and records. (required)
Must reside or be willing to relocate to near Warrenton or Richmond, VA. (required)
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License (required)
