Electrical Specialist (Electrical Engineer)

Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Specialist to work on projects in Sapulpa, OK. You will be reporting out of our Cranberry, PA office. The Electrical Specialist will assist plant management in the planning, execution and documentation for project work at the client's facilities.

This position is in anticipation of more growth and is an evergreen position. As such, the timeline to hire is unknown and will be as needed. If you are interested in this type of work we encourage you to apply and we will reach out when we are ready to move forward. It could be several months.

• May act on the owner's behalf to interface with equipment suppliers, construction contractors and plant personnel.
• Will assist with developing installation and maintenance processes, schedules, and procedures for the safe operation of and maintenance of the plant facilities.
• Will assist with the development of documented reports for each project.
• Understand, follow, and update the project schedules as required.
• Meet with station management team to ensure the plant objectives, and upcoming challenges are being met.
• Work on-site at customer's facility. The assignment will be in an industrial setting and require wearing personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
• Follow all client safety and environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by client management.

Associates of Electrical Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Minimum 15 years of experience working in industrial facilities preferred. (preferred)
Minimum of 15 years of experience working with industrial control systems such as programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), protective relays and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) preferred. (preferred)
Minimum of 15 years of experience with facility electrical distribution systems preferred. Principally 480V and below, although supply voltages up to 15 kV class may be encountered. (required)
Must have thorough working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) regarding the safe operation of industrial facilities. (required)
Must have a working knowledge of industrial control systems and communications protocols. (required)
Must be able to develop and document effective, succinct and detailed reports on project plans, daily activities, and maintenance requirements. (required)
Must effectively communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. (required)
Must be able to read and interpret electrical and control system drawings as well as skilled in marking up any required changes to drawings. (required)
Ability to understand, read, and update Critical Path Method schedules. (required)
Must have a working knowledge of industrial control systems and communications protocols. (required)
Must have experience with material handling including conveyor installations, line controls, packaging equipment installations and similar equipment. (required)
