As a non-supervisory technical engineer, you will be a key contributor in the new product development group with a focus on future technology and developing integrated systems in a lab environment. These systems include electro-hydraulic control systems for engine powered, hybrid, and electric vehicles, autonomous vehicle systems, advanced suspension systems, material handling systems and other auxiliary system for on-road and off-road applications. In addition, you will work within advanced engineering groups regarding development of control strategy for advanced vehicle control systems. Controls work encompasses advanced control strategy development and verification for hybrid electric vehicles and components (motors, drives, engines, generators, energy storage cells etc.), autonomous vehicle systems, advanced suspensions, material handling and other auxiliary equipment for on-road and off-road applications.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Support the development of vehicle and system level requirements for advanced vehicle control systems supporting research, regulatory compliance, development, failure mode analysis, verification and validation, testing, and production implementations

  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and establish system and sub-system requirements according to the needs of a project

  • Work in a hands-on, team environment with internal and external project teams on advanced control development efforts for new production from the start of the project concept through production implementation

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with focus on controls *

  • 10-plus years related experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Vehicle experience, system integration experience, Master's in Systems Engineering
