Security Guard

The Security Guard is responsible for serving as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions. They will detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client, or employees at the site. They will report all incidents, accidents, medical emergencies, or safety concerns to the Center Manager. They will respond to emergencies intrusion by following emergency response proceedings.

Job Responsibilities:

* Secures items such as keys and passcodes that are distributed.
* Communicates well (verbal and written) and is capable of handling typical and crisis situations both efficiently and effectively.
* Understands and successfully executes post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules, and regulations.
* Completes Daily Playground Checklist to ensure safe environment, the absence of hazardous material, and secure toys/items in the playground when closed.
* Maintains a written log of activities during shifts.
* Closes the building, ensuring everything (building, storage closets, etc) is locked and alarm is set.
* Responds to fire/burglar alarms when requested.

Job Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

* Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

* Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively
