Responsibilities and Duties

The Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss.

The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. Program.

  • You will coordinate the loss control efforts and advise management and administration on all potential sources of loss and make recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure
  • You have knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction and claims management.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Five years clinical experience in a psychiatric in-patient facility with knowledge of high-risk areas, preferred.
  • Three years management experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred, or Master's degree in a mental health related program preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral required.
