UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Neuropsychologist to join our Truman Health Services Clinic. This opportunity is a part-time (0.5FTE) day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Minimum $96,844 - Midpoint $123,427*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary

Under general supervision, provides neuropsychological consultation and evaluations to include clinical interviewing, administering, scoring and interpreting neuropsychological test results, providing feedback and test report preparation to patients with medical, mental, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders. Patient care assignments may include adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups (ages 14-90).

Minimum Job Requirements for a Neuropsychologist:

Doctorate degree in Psychology, and completion of Pre-doctoral Clinical Internship AND completion of the equivalent of *two (2) fulltime years of experience and specialized training, at least one of which is at the post-doctoral level, in the study and practice of clinical neuropsychology and related neurosciences. Eligibility for board certification expected. State of NM Licensed Psychologist, or eligibility for NM licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

*Two years' experience must include supervision by a clinical neuropsychologist.

Duties and Responsibilities for a Neuropsychologist:



  1. Diagnoses or evaluates neuropsychological disorders of individuals and administers neuropsychological tests commensurate with training and expertise to answer questions about a patient's neuropsychological function.
  2. Selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, memory, attention, personality, or other neuropsychological assessments to diagnose neuropsychological disorders and formulate plans of treatment and recommendations for follow up care. Provides consultation to other health professionals regarding assessment results.
  3. Documents neuropsychological reports in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.
  4. Provides crisis assessment and intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological support, coordinates follow up care with Behavioral Health Team and Primary Care Team.
  5. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, staff meetings and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques.
  6. May instruct and direct psychology graduate students, interns, and postdoctoral trainees serving practicum, internships, and postdoctoral experiences in clinics.
  7. Provides psychological consultations to other health professionals within clinics, and other community-based agencies regarding patients and/or patient care.
  8. Provides backup coverage to other behavioral health providers as needed.
  9. May develop and implement clinical research programs.
  10. Ensure adherence to organizational and clinical policies and procedures.
  11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

About the Truman Health Service Clinic:

Truman Health Services is a NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home which provides the highest level of care and latest treatment options for New Mexicans living with HIV, requiring gender services or seeking PrEP. We offer a variety of treatment services utilizing a holistic approach towards supporting our patients' medical, social and mental health needs. Truman Health Services is seeking an experienced candidate to serve as our integrated neuropsychologist.

We are thrilled to announce our recruitment for an Integrated Neuropsychologist to join our highly experienced behavioral health team. We are seeking an experienced individual to provide behavioral health services and health interventions to people living with HIV and other chronic diseases as well as people who identify as transgender/gender nonconforming. Core services provided by candidate will include coordination of case with a interdisciplinary team and neuropsychological assessment for a variety of behavioral health concerns and medical concerns as well as provide consultation to the behavioral health team, routinely audit work products, and assist the manager in their role of developing the team to the highest standard of excellence. The chosen candidate must be focused, able to handle multiple demands that may arise in a PCMH, have excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional computer skills and be detail oriented.

Priority will be given to candidates who are:

* Experienced providing neuropsychological assessment services to medically, psychologically and socially complex populations.

* Experienced providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessment to people living with HIV.

* Experienced working with the LGBTQ+ community.

* Experienced working in a community based interdisciplinary setting.

* Prefer Bilingual English/Spanish.
