IOP Counselor-Full Time (4-10 hour shifts)
$5000 Sign On Bonus

The Windsor-Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine is a 159-bed facility located in beautiful Willoughby, Ohio, which is a short drive from downtown Cleveland. Recognized as a Top Performer by The Joint Commission, the hospital provides 24-hour care and serves children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric, behavioral health, and substance abuse issues. Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes board certified psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed social workers, case managers, and milieu and activity therapists. Windsor-Laurelwood also features a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit for adults, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs. We are looking for a dynamic therapist with Chemical Dependency experience to join our award winning Outpatient staff and facilitate an IOP group for chemical dependency.

The IOP program at Windsor Laurelwood consistently ranks in the top 10 in UHS hospital system of more than 350 hospitals. The therapist will work on a team including psychiatrists, nurses and other therapists.

Responsibilities:

  • The IOP Therapist has primary responsibility for the day to day operations of the CD IOP program, including the six week group and the aftercare program.
  • The therapist is responsible for assessing the patients appropriateness for the IOP/aftercare level of care, orienting the patient to program rules and expectations, and developing the individualized treatment plan prior to patient enrollment in the program.
  • Monitors the patient progress and provides additional individual and family interventions as needed.
  • Revises the treatment plan as necessary and conducts case management activities to support patient in meeting goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum educational requirement: Master's Degree
  • Licensure: Current social work/counselor licensure with the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
  • Training, experience, or scope of practice in treating chemical dependency OR current licensure through Ohio Chemical Dependency Credentialing Board is required.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience working with chemically dependent clients is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Specific chemical dependency training and experience required for primary group facilitation role.
