POSITION SUMMARY: To perform all of the required manufacturing functions for the Coating area.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Must be able to setup and run all related equipment.
  2. Monitor equipment and process output.
  3. Inspect for in process quality as well as support the LEAN and HP culture.
  4. Read/follow written process instructions and follow verbal instructions. Read and understand internal SOP.
  5. Solve problems in areas of quality, materials, and equipment.
  6. Works to a daily schedule and must meet or exceed output targets by understanding the product flow and handling procedures within the department.
  7. Required to work with chemicals such as cleaning solvents, paints, adhesives and primers.
  8. Communicates well between departments to notify others and coordinator when issues arise.
  9. Forklift truck and hand jacks to lift and move materials to stockroom or the next work area.
  10. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  11. Assist Process Engineers in solving issues.
  12. Perform preventative maintenance on all machines in the Coating Area.
  13. Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
  14. Perform all tasks as requested and assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

Education and Experience:

  1. Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  2. 2 - 4+ years of manufacturing experience required
  3. Ability to read and follow instructions.
  4. Problem solving ability.
  5. Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills are a necessity.
  6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  7. Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
  8. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization as well as outside services and at meetings.
  9. Must be able to adjust quickly to changes in priorities, be goal-driven and self-motivated.
  10. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows
  11. Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident.
