HX5 is currently seeking a Cost Analyst to join our EBX team at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise and assist with the leadership of, or perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques.
• Analyze management problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems. The primary requirement of the work is competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis.
• Routine application of cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolation.
• Utilize cost-estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system.
• Identify the appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (e.g. planning, programming, justification, execution) for initiating new programs.
• Analyze all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope.
• Analyze weapon system contractor financial data using EVM (Earned Value Management) measures of merit to determine program viability with respect to cost and schedule performance.
• Apply analytical processes such as: setting up the problem; conducting background research; collecting and reducing data; displaying data for analysis; formulating mathematical expressions; and drawing conclusions.

Education and Experience:

• The degree needs to include 24 credit hrs in math and science, and 3 credit hrs in calculus.
  
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional experience; or
  • Master's degree and 6 years of professional experience
  
  
  
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
