Job Summary Provides full administrative and secretarial support at Perryville and/or Lewis Prisons. Duties include, but are not limited to: establishment and maintenance of office systems/processes and procedures, coordination and delivering of student material, instructional support such as registration, report generation, and supply orders. Assists instructors in researching student information and processing student management. Essential Functions 60% - Assists in providing program or procedural information related to the completion of forms and other related documentation using established standards and procedures; prepares and maintains routine and non-routine correspondence, reports, documents, records and files according to work specific work direction, established standards and procedures. 30% - Retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs or other documentation/record-keeping system. 10% - Participates in required trainings and meetings; monitors supplies inventory, orders supplies, and/or processes and monitors supply requisitions; monitors and tracks expenses and may assist with the development of budget related materials and proposals; adheres to applicable policies and procedures; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and one year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Experience working with incarcerated students in a prison setting B. Experience working with online student databases C. Demonstrated experience working with a variety of computer software Special Working Conditions The work location for this position is onsite at Perryville or Lewis Prison Complex. Ability to pass a Department of Correction's background check and obtain a contractor badge is required. May be required to work at multiple sites or locations. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
