Primary Responsibilities:



  • Gain familiarity with the ever-changing world of Medicare Supplement insurance, becoming a subject matter expert over time
  • Lead the development, refinement, and maintenance of critical models used to price Medicare Supplement plans
  • Take part in the preparation and implementation of annual pricing strategies nationwide
  • Perform deep dive analytics to understand the company's competitive positioning
  • Work with fellow team members to prepare and submit regulatory filings in the required timeline
  • Aid in the response to questions from state regulators

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of actuarial experience, preferably within the healthcare industry
  • Society of Actuaries designation - ASA
  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with MS Excel



Preferred Qualifications:



  • In active pursuit of FSA or recent FSA
  • Experience with VBA, Excel Power Query, and/or MS Access
  • Expertise working with complex formulas, calculations, charts, & graphs in MS Excel
  • Ability to concisely communicate results and recommendations to a variety of audiences

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
