Click *to view the step-by-step instructions to refer a friend to this position.* Job Summary The Grounds Project Manager is a subject matter expert in all phases of Grounds Management. The individual in this position will provide technical support in their given expertise to units, management, sales, and clients. The Project Manager will be relied on to install SSC Standard Operating Procedures and Systems, train individuals on subject matters, and provide survey support for new business including evaluation and pricing. The focus of this position is to be a Subject Matter Expert in Grounds and Athletic Field Management, IPM, and Grounds Sustainability. The position will report to the Vice President. Key Responsibilities: Installs the standard programs utilizing best practices Provides site assessment analysis Trains account personnel in proper grounds techniques and maintenance procedures, and all safety procedures Performs all functions a manager performs in operating an account, as an interim manager Performs Grounds/Athletic field QA assessments and Safety audits at various locations Delivers final deferred maintenance reports to site managers, regional managers, and clients Interfaces with clients and client staff to provide project status reports and to ensure customer needs are met Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned projects as needed. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly Prepares locally customized operating unit policies and operating programs and procedures for compliance with facilities management best practices, company standards, customer contract requirements, and regulatory standards Performs other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in grounds related field including, Horticulture, Agronomy, Forestry, Turf Management or 10 years of grounds management experience Valid Drivers License Excellent verbal and written skills Proven ability to define and execute change strategies Proven ability to address competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude Able to manage multiple projects at a time with sharp organizational skills Ability to travel 85% Apply to SSC today!
