The Web Developer owns the responsibility of delivering a high standard of web-based / digital platform creative by supporting and evolving Purohit Navigation and its agency of clients' website and digital ecosystem. The Web Developer works independently and with a lean team of designers and developers to design, develop, execute and maintain strategic and innovative websites, email campaigns, digital banners and web apps - ensuring the execution of high-quality, error free work, delivered on schedule within allocated timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Translates design artifacts (wireframes, mockups, prototypes) into web and mobile-first experiences optimized for a full range of modern devices using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Designs, builds, edits, and maintains web content by determining client needs by analyzing technical requirements within the prevailing or desired digital ecosystem
  • Monitors and research emerging technologies, consumer behaviors and backend site analytics and databases to inform innovation opportunities
  • Collaborates with designers, other developers, and resources on projects or integration with other platforms
  • Collaborates and interfaces with other functional areas of the business (Strategy, Account Teams, Leadership) to translate business objectives and initiatives into technical solutions
  • Confers with team members and manager to resolve project challenges, prioritize needs, develop content criteria and determine tactical solutions
  • Conducts tests, validates functionality and evaluates code prior to deployment to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, properly structured, mimics external interfaces and compatible with all user browsers, devices, and operating systems
  • Identifies problems uncovered by testing and feedback, and corrects or refers problems to appropriate team member for correction
  • Ensures user interface design and development adhering to best practices for user experience (UX) patterns, core web vitals, SEO accessibility, security and consumer data regulations, and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintains PNAV website(s) updates
  • Performs file maintenance, backup and archiving
  • Maintains an understanding of the latest web-based applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and gro
  • Follows company processes
  • Works with manager to prioritize workload
  • Responds with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Manages hours, enters weekly time into timesheet system
  • Reports budget status


Working Environment


  • This position is performed in a remote-first and office environment
  • Required to work overtime and weekends as necessary to meet project deadlines and responsibilities
  • Travel to client and conference sites in performance of duties is also required
  • Visits to client facilities that require COVID-19 vaccination may be necessary
  • Proof of vaccination may be required


Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years' experience developing responsive, web-based applications
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, .Net, PHP and WordPress
  • Experience working with XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Passion for exploring new technologies
  • Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
  • Strong trouble shooting skills and unyielding attention to detail
  • Dynamic page development using scripting languages like JSP, PHP
  • Content management systems and principles
  • Strong digital design/development strategies
  • Working with a team in a continuous integration environment
  • Java application development: IDE, frameworks, version control, runtime, etc.
  • Cloud infrastructure principles and solutions
  • Core web vitals/site speed optimization
  • Global/multilingual site development strategies
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards/best practices, web analytics platforms, tag management platforms and associated technologies
  • Working knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, and user centric design principles
  • Strong consultation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • "Can do" attitude

  • XD, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, MSSQL, .Net, PHP, WordPress
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript libraries including jQuery and Bootstrap
  • Greensock JavaScript animation engine
  • LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Git / GitHub
  • Full stack knowledge: NET in an Azure environment, Virtualmin / Webmin
