  • UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining equipment which provides a comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Provides customer service.
  • Maintains self-contained refrigeration units, i.e. ice machines, drinking fountains, etc.
  • Performs general mechanic duties.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year trade school in refrigeration.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in refrigeration and air conditioning.
  • Refrigerant Recovery License - Universal required (can obtain within one (1) year of hire date).
  • Must possess a current Driver's License
  • Ability to evaluate work projects and develop methods and procedures for completion.
  • Must be familiar with all usual materials, equipment, parts, and methods required to accomplish required tasks.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Plumbing/Electrical or HV&AC License.
  • Boiler experience
