The George Mason University Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, on the Science and Technology campus (formerly the Prince William campus), is seeking part-time Kid Kare Attendants. Flexibility desired for day, night, and weekends, however, availability Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm is required.

Responsibilities:

Kid Kare Attendants are responsible for supervising and caring for children in the Kid Kare Center. Duties include ensuring supplies are ready for scheduled activities; and arranging and taking part in indoor and outdoor play while ensuring the environment is safe, clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate a positive and productive attitude;
  • Must be sensitive to the varying capabilities, interests, and needs of the children;
  • Must be mature (persons 17 years of age or older will be given a strong preference);
  • Have prior experience working with groups of children; and
  • Will have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) certifications (pediatric and adult) within 30 days of hire.


This position is subject to a criminal background investigation. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of this process.
