Key Qualifications
- 5-15 years of industry level experience in semiconductor design, devices and technologies and/or vendor/project management
- Background in project management and scheduling.
- Understanding and experience with hardware and software aspects of a complex electronic system
- Experience at working with suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Prior working experience in semiconductor design or manufacturing, qualification and production
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must be highly motivated self-starter and a phenomenal teammate who can thrive in a dynamic startup-like environment
- Must be able to work well with others
- Willingness and ability to travel: 10% travel estimate in 5-10 day trips
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills
- Dynamic and "can do" attitude with the desire to work with an extraordinary team and product
Description As a Wireless Systems Engineer responsibilities include assisting with high-level planning and execution to meet Apple production schedules, define semiconductor specifications with cross-functional teams, and plan semiconductor development with focus on ensuring that the semiconductor vendors meet required schedules and performance requirements. Ideally, additional responsibilities will include system level design or integration of antenna systems and coordination of implementation/characterization efforts within Apple.
Education & Experience B.S. in EE or Physics. M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Previous work experience in integrated circuit design, integrated circuit device physics, RF/microwave circuit design, semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor backend processing, semiconductor packaging, RF measurements using vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzers and call boxes, antenna design.
- Software design experience in Python, C, C++
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
