The Senior Director of Application Architecture & Engineering will have overall responsibility for the end to end business systems architecture and integrations that span Pluralsight's critical back office IT applications landscape. This is a high impact high visibility position and requires a technical leader who is naturally collaborative, operates with a sense of ownership and accountability, is skilled at managing competing priorities, and can build and nurture an outstanding team.

What you'll own:
- End-to-end architectural oversight of Pluralsight's critical business applications and platforms
- Overall responsibility for leading and mentoring a high performing team of integration engineers and architects
- Establishing and chairing a streamlined, thoughtful, and inclusive architecture governance board responsible for ensuring system design decisions are vetted, approved, and align with business strategy
- Strategic technology portfolio rationalization and cost containment to optimize spend and align Pluralsight's technology and tools portfolio with overall business strategy
- Maintaining a robust documentation library including business capability maps, systems architecture + application topology diagrams, and business process flows
- Facilitating effective collaboration and consultation between various IT and platform development teams and business partners to create robust solution roadmaps.
Experience you'll need:
- 10+ years experience in IT business applications management or related function with demonstrated success leading solution architecture and engineering teams
- 5+ years at director level or above with proven track record at high-growth technology organizations
- Experience running systems and critical applications that support multi-functional enterprise business processes including quote-to-cash and ecommerce
- Deep knowledge of system architecture and design frameworks and SDLC process
- Hands-on experience implementing industry-leading SaaS business technology platforms (ex Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Zendesk, Zuora, Stripe, etc)
- Expertise with continuous delivery tools, DevOps practices, and enterprise release management strategy
- Sophisticated understanding and demonstrated experience with serverless and microservices architectures
