We are looking for a Senior Design Strategist to join our Creative Group within Global Marketing at our Oaks, Pennsylvania headquarters. We are looking for someone with a passion for the research, design and development of engaging customer experiences. The Senior Design Strategist is responsible for researching, conceptualizing and designing detailed solutions that support SEI's Global Marketing, sales, and solutions efforts.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our business units, marketing and technology teams, and members of the broader creative group. You will play a central role in the creation of print and digital solutions that help our customers and prospective customers understand and believe in SEI while making it easy for them to do business with us across multiple channels.

As a Senior Design Strategist, you will participate in the research, discovery, design and implementation phases all while influencing the creation and evolution of our company-wide design and corporate branding system. At the project level, you will create conceptual designs, prototypes, and detailed design solutions. At a team level you will help create, refine, and document brand standards for the company collaborating with a cross-functional team. At a department level, you will help create and support the definition of processes, tools, techniques, and deliverables for a best in class marketing team. You will lead efforts to align experiences, strategies and solutions that enable our business objectives through the creation of highly usable, efficient and delightful customer experiences.

This position requires an individual who can successfully work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with continually evolving business needs. Deadline driven project assignments and our iterative approach to development processes require a professional with excellent adaptability and communication skills.

What you'll do:

  • Identify customer needs and requirements by working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify and conduct additional research
  • Design and specify digital experience concepts and designs using iterative design techniques, including audience definition, journey mapping, prototyping, and testing
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
  • Use learnings from projects to define and expand our visual brand design system
  • Evangelize cross-channel experience design throughout the organization
  • Plan and manage time appropriately to deliver high quality work on time and within budget

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a design-related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a design practitioner
  • Experience in the design and documentation of complex experiences
  • Expertise in tools and techniques used to create engaging customer experiences
  • Thorough understanding of modern design technologies
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Sketch, Figma.
  • Experience and competency conducting design research activities and analyzing data
  • Experience in data visualization a plus
  • A portfolio demonstrating your experience researching and creating great customer-centered designs
  • Proven ability to effectively interact and collaborate in a cross-disciplinary creative team environment comprised of content strategists, user experience designers, marketing managers, developers, key stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly creative, organized and detail-oriented
  • Passionate about delivering the best customer experiences possible
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
