QC Lab Technician
Responsibilities

  • Prepare test specimens and perform all product quality tests in the Quality Lab, and in the Control Room and Production as needed.
  • Support verification of incoming raw materials and finished product inspections.
  • Maintain and trouble-shoot test equipment, and maintain test supply inventories.
  • Monitor and maintain test data integrity, analyze data, and prepare reports for review.
  • Assist in performing or hosting Layered Process (LPA), ISO 9001:2015, and Third Party regulatory audits as needed.
  • Lead Quality projects that result in process improvements, cost reduction, improved productivity, etc.
  • Participate in cross-functional lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality to ensure customer satisfaction. Knowledge of quality principles and tools (e.g. TQM, CAPA, SPC, 5S, KPI, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or ASQ CQT preferred, or a combination of sufficient knowledge and experience in product and process quality.
  • 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, depending on education and demonstrable skillset.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Minitab, and the aptitude for quickly learning software applications / databases for data entry, extraction, and analysis.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
