Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Per-Diem

HSS Brooklyn

Overview:

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking to hire a per diem Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for our HSS Brooklyn location. The opportunity is for 20 hours weekly occurring over a minimum of three (3) days per week. The candidate's primary role is to provide medical and therapeutic massage to the following populations: pre/post orthopedic surgery; athletes recovering from injury as well as improving performance; non-operative orthopedic conditions commonly seen in a rehabilitation center.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working in an academic setting and collaborating with a staff of physical therapists and exercise physiologists. The candidate will be afforded optional opportunities for attending education conferences and participating in community outreach.

Requirements:

To qualify you must have a NY state license for Massage Therapy in good standing, along with evidence of current malpractice insurance. Candidates must have a minimum requirement of 5 year's experience with a wide variety of clientele.
