Responsibilities OB PURPOSE: Operates hospital switchboard and acts as the receptionist at the front door. Provides information needed for the census and statistical reports. Maintains medical record integrity though filing, assembling and retrieving confidential information. Performs various clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school graduate Experience: Previous experience operating switchboard, inputting data into computer and operating other office equipment. Technical Skills: Some typing skills; minimal computer literacy. Other: Able to maintain confidentiality. Possess knowledge and skills necessary to interact compassionately and appropriately with the mentally ill and their families. Environmental Demands: Physical surroundings are pleasant and comfortable. Physical/Mental Demands: Ability to make trips to units via outside walkway; walkway is exposed to weather conditions. Ability to stand, reach, as required in assembling charts. Manual Dexterity Required: Ability to type/keyboard, operate photocopy and fax equipment.
