ELS is hiring for the position of Employee Relations Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona.

What you'll do:

The Employee Relations Specialist develops and administrates the employee relations program and helps the Human Resources department to effectively manage human capital. This position interacts with employees and managers at the property and corporate levels.

Your job will include:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all employment laws.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities.

  • Conduct internal investigations and prepare all required documentation.

  • Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings and discuss trends and concerns with senior management.

  • Craft strategies to resolve personnel issues and minimize the adverse personnel impact of proposed business realignments.

  • Ensure that employee matters are handled with consistency, fairness and without discrimination.

  • Provide counsel and guidance to managers and associates regarding company policies and procedures.

  • Resolve all discrimination charges and grievances as required.

  • Partner with legal counsel on lawsuit discovery and litigation preparation.

Experience & skills you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience, with responsibility for supervisory activities.

  • SHRM-SCP and/or SHRM-CP designation.

  • Excellent evaluation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.

  • Expertise in the Human Resources discipline.

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, preferably Workday.

  • Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information.
