ReStore Associate

This position is responsible for picking up ReStore donations from Individual Donors & Corporate Donors, assessing the donation's suitability, safely packing the merchandise in the
ReStore truck, and driving to the ReStore to unload merchandise. The Driver must act as a "Donation Ambassador" of Habitat for Humanity New York City ReStore while interacting with Donors and Corporations.

Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service to our donors, customers, and volunteers
* Process incoming donations
* Stock inventory and prepare merchandise displays
* Assist customers in the sale of merchandise
* Work the cash register and follow all cash control policies
* Train, lead, and provide support for volunteers in any of the above
* Follow all policies and procedures for sales and the safe handling and display of merchandise

Requirements:
* Positive attitude, with a high energy level
* Understanding of and enthusiasm for Habitat's mission
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Willingness and ability to work in warehouse conditions including, heat, cold, and dust
* Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
* organizational and time management skills
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel as needed are required.
* Employment contingent upon completion of successful background check and child abuse clearance.
* Experience in retail, restaurant/hospitality field, marketing, sales, construction, or a combination of experience and education/training in at least some of these areas is required.

Salary range of $18 - $20 based on experience.
