Job Description

We are currently looking for a Benefits Coordinator to join our growing Total Rewards team! Reporting to the Health & Welfare Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of employee benefit programs and policies across the Brightspeed platform. You will assist employees in completing enrollment and change forms, monitors Benefits inquiry tickets submitted pertaining to benefit offerings, eligibility and/or coverage, and 401(k), administer employee insurance, retirement savings plan and provide assistance in the relationship with insurance brokers and plan carriers.

As a Benefits Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of all employee benefits programs, including but not limited to Health and Welfare, 401(k), Leave of Absence, and benefit communication materials
  • Prepares monthly provider premium billing reports, invoices and works with finance to issue payment to all providers
  • Assists employees in completing enrollment and/or change forms
  • Reviews and provides commentary to benefit communication materials
  • Supports Annual Enrollment activities such as but not limited to testing, communication review and reporting
  • Responsible for answering employee questions pertaining to benefit offerings, eligibility or coverage or other issues to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
  • Works with Benefits Team members to provide any needed administrative support for leave of absences
  • Administers employee insurance, retirement savings plan, wellness initiatives, and works with insurance brokers and plan carriers
  • Provides ongoing support for benefits and HR teams
  • Prepares reports to be used in company compliance, ERISA, and other requirements with federal and state agencies, such as IRS, DOL, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provides reporting and audit support to benefits
  • Assists with reconciliation of 401(k), Flexible Spending, and Health Savings Account contributions
  • Researches and stays current on all market benefit trends to ensure Brightspeed remains competitive with benefit offerings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred
  • 3+ years of benefits administration experience
  • Leave of Absence administration and/or 401(k) experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal & customer service skills required
  • Demonstrates empathy in all employee interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and audit data
