Pay Range: $37,000 - $53,000

Job Description:

This position will support the specifications management and operational launch related to Mattress and Foundation components and systems. The position will plan, manage, and implement the technical specifications of mattress components and foundation projects/programs provided by the New Product Development Engineering staff. Implement specifications, variances, and build sequencing for new products and prepare specifications for management and engineering review. Work cross-functionally to ensure adherence to specification accuracy and synchronization with new product bill of materials.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Results Area:



  • Ensure process and operational efficiency, effectiveness, and quality; including continuous improvement projects, any necessary training and tracking of critical success factors.
  • Support cross functional transparent information sharing.
  • Provide critical feedback loops to internal functional departments, including: Manufacturing, NPD, Marketing, BOM, Accounting, and Quality.
  • Drive cross-functional collaborative processes within specification management to ensure on-time project delivery and accuracy.
  • Drive conversion from legacy specification management system to Dynamics AX 2012 and PDM.

  • Strong 6-sigma understanding and experience, LEAN manufacturing process knowledge, and technical skills.

Member of Global Product Engineering as part of the New Product Development team.

  • Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Consumer Design


To perform this job successfully, the employee must be capable of performing each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements herein are the minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Qualifications:



  • Minimum 2-year technical degree or relevant experience
  • Experience working in Dynamix AX 2012, Manbase, or similar environment utilizing PDM concepts and applications


Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced corporate office environment. Some stress may occur. Regular travel is not expected in this position; however, travel around scheduled projects such as program rollouts may be necessary.
