Position Summary:
The Center for Pre-College Programs is in need of STEM Teachers for various Engineering based Saturday instruction. THE TEACHER WILL WORK WITH HIGH ACHIEVING STUDENTS IN VARIOUS STEM RELATED CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION. Teacher / Instructor provides inquiry-based, product-oriented instruction for the students that will enhance students' knowledge, understanding and application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) content/concepts, study skills, thinking skills, problem solving strategies and communication skills.

Essential Functions:
Works collaboratively with appropriate program staff on the content of the instructional program and related activities. -Provides a teaching plan or class outline, with handouts, for assigned classes that adhere to the guiding principles of the Early College Preparatory Programs. -Notifies the Program Directors if they must be absent or late for any reason.

Teacher Certification -Background Check -Must be a certified elementary, middle or high school teacher in the content area assigned and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience. -Possesses good leadership abilities and communication skills. -Experienced in hands-on activities and cooperative learning and teaching.
