Position Summary:
The Laboratory for Brain Connectivity at NJIT is currently seeking a motivated postdoctoral research fellow to work on investigating various neurophysiological basis of connectivity using human and animal data.

Essential Functions:
The fellow will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, integrating the findings of a broad spectrum of approaches including:

  • Resting state functional MRI
  • Task activation fMRI
  • Cortical thickness
  • Voxel-based morphometry

Prerequisite Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for a successful candidate include:

  • Completed PhD in biomedical engineering, psychology, neuroscience, or related fields.
  • Extensive prior neuroimaging experience with functional MRI.
  • Strong skills in usage of one or more common functional neuroimaging (FSL, SPM, AFNI) packages;
  • Programming experience in Matlab, Python, C/C++ or similar platform is a plus;
  • Experience in writing scientific papers and proposals including F31.
  • Ability to be a part of research team and work closely with our collaborators and mentor students to make sure the project progresses well.
  • At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
