Dimensional Inspector (All Levels/ All Shifts)

In this role you will be responsible to program, setup and operate CMM; laser tracker; FARO arm; manual layout using design data to inspect machined and received components. Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections. Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data. Document, track and complete discrepancy reports.

In addition, there will be times that you will need to provide inspection time estimates. Maintain and track all inspection equipment calibrations. Support process improvement initiatives. Maintain configuration control on files and job records, and safely work within an industrial environment.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will share in the team's impact on all aspects of developing, testing and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin's Vision.

Shift Details Include:

Monday - Thursday

6:00am-4:30pm (Days) / 4:00pm - 2:30am (Nights)

Friday - Sunday (Weekend)

5:00am -5:30pm (Days)/ 5:00pm-5:30am (Nights)

*The weekend shift is Friday- Sunday and is scheduled for 36 hours and is scheduled for 36 hours, but the employee will receive an 11% weekend shift pay uplift. As such, the position is paid the equivalent of the 40-hour Monday-Thursday/ Friday shift.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
  • CMM programming and operation.
  • Superior blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
  • Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • CAD system knowledge, preferably Pro E.\
  • DMIS, PC-DMIS & Creo Experience
  • PC DMIS NC on machine inspection.
  • Faro and Verisurf knowledge.
  • Basic machining knowledge.
  • Familiar with Mastercam preferably X6 or higher.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
  • Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)

Inspector Sr is $35.39 - $51.90

Inspector II is $25.13 - $36.86

Inspector III is $30.04 - $44.06

Inspector is $21.02 - $30.83

Compensation range for on site WA applicants:

Inspector Sr is $38.48 - $56.44

Inspector II is $27.41 - $40.21

Inspector III is $32.77 - $48.06

Inspector is $22.94 - $33.64
