Position Description - Crane Operator, LTC
Company: LT Corporation
Reports to: Site Logistics Manager
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities :


  • Ensure Safety First, Safety Always and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
  • Inspect equipment prior to start of shift to ensure road readiness.
  • Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect and secure freight prior to departure.
  • Report any mechanical, quality issues to Supervisor and ensure correction of all issues before departure from loading site.
  • Safely transport product from loading site to delivery site.
  • Adhere to traffic safety laws while operating vehicle.
  • Climb tanks and prepare tanks for offloading.
  • Operate crane to unload product maintaining safe work area and product quality.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Maintain full DOT and FMCSA regulation compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment.



Experience:


  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating medium- to heavy-duty commercial trucks, with no adverse or safety incidents on record.
  • Experience with flatbed and/or heavy equipment preferred.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to safely climb ladders up to 14 feet to climb on tanks
  • Ability to reach 4 ft and lift chains of 50 to 75 lb. to connect spreader bar to boom
  • Ability to manually extend outriggers (75 - 80 lb) to support crane and truck
  • Ability to drive long hours and remain out up to 2 weeks occasionally
  • Ability to adapt to and operate in various traffic and weather conditions
  • Ability to record data accurately and in a timely manner
  • Detail-orientated/attentive to detail to ensure safety and quality


  • Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships through excellent customer service



Education and Certification Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License
  • HAZMAT Certification, preferred
  • Certified or become Qualified to operate a knuckle boom
