Position Summary

Supports sales and broader organization through development and implementation of financial and business analytics, development of workflow automation, and cross functional collaboration. Requires strong understanding of Finance and Accounting, a high proficiency in use of MS Office, collaboration software and ERP systems. Has access to highly confidential financial information.

Primary Functions

Perform financial and business analysis to generate and present key reporting to drive decisions and initiatives to improve revenue generation and expense reduction, including:




  • Research, analyze and report on price actions to achieve margin expansion with selected customers and resin cost data.

  • Work with sales to build Integrated reporting tools for business development activities, including stage/gate reporting for new opportunities in the sales pipeline

  • Create and maintain informative financial and business metric reporting and analysis using Epicor, Power BI and Smartsheet. Specifically, track daily sales results by manufacturing location (Plant), customer and account manager. Do the same monthly for sales margin

  • Analyze and report on sales performance by Account Manager and Manufacturing Site for plan vs. actual sales and margins, through analysis of financial and business data.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive Continuous Improvement at the Plants for customer satisfaction (delivery, quality). This includes creating the actual KPI's and reports, following up with Plant personnel to capture root cause criteria and corrective action.

  • Develop, propose and implement sales incentive plans that drive the right sales growth behavior.


Lead the development of workflow automation and cross functional collaboration, including:




  • Promote data driven information culture by driving discussions and meetings with sales personnel, as well as other departments, on sales performance in the areas of on time delivery, quality and cost. Use collaboration software, such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Concur, SharePoint, as well as ERP system, to modernize and automate sales information repositories, processes and workflow.

  • Review business processes and provide continuous improvement recommendations to management.


Support Sales Dept meetings, communications and key activities:




  • Prepare for Quarterly Business Review with customers by developing standard template and process to report on financial and business data.

  • Assist in Performance Management planning & execution tracking for sales department employees

  • Support central customer requests, such as business continuity planning and capability presentations

  • Support development of sales and marketing collateral, as able.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Key Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in finance major or concentration.

  • Highly proficient in use of software, such as MS Office, Smartsheet, Power BI, Concur, SharePoint and ERP system.

  • Proficient knowledge of Program Management tools, including Gannt charts, ERP, Database management.

  • Good organizational and planning skills.

  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking.

  • Exceptional ability to get things done and meet commitments with and through others.



Physical Requirements




  • Sitting at workstation approximately 90% of work time. Standing and walking approximately 10 percent of work time.

  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.

  • Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
