Responsibilities

(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Human Resources Department is hiring a Manager - Compensation to provide analytical and project management support for change management initiatives both at the corporate office and for field locations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as lead analyst for major division projects in collaboration with Compensation Director and Division HRD
  • Manage day-to-day base pay issues for the Acute Care Division. Provide guidance to operations staff and leaders as required. Develop and oversee division wide reporting of key issues and activities
  • Provide tools and guidance to Acute Division facilities for their local merit process
  • Provide strategy and guidance for new initiatives, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc. Manage compensation and organizational structure analysis as required
  • Conduct market research, program design, financial analysis, budgeting and implementation support of new pay programs
  • Supervise staff members who oversee annual salary survey submissions. Respond to and complete information necessary for salary surveys for UHS corporate. Evaluate and provide recommendations for new survey sources as they become available
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of HRIS projects in Lawson related to compensation issues. Assist Director with implementation of new software applications. Serve as subject matter contributor and/or system administrator for compensation related software applications
  • Take lead role in developing system reporting and improvements related to compensation issues. Provide peer review support, education and direction to Compensation Analysts

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience Corporate Compensation experience.

  • 3 or more years' experience at a manager level a must
  • Strong compensation knowledge required including state and federal laws applying to company compensation programs
  • Specific knowledge of healthcare jobs preferred
  • Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Superior MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint in addition to HRIS experience with Lawson or another major HRIS product

  • Travel connected with projects for field locations will be necessary on an as needed basis (0-10%)
