WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Organize, prepare and/or conduct (simple to moderately complex) training, curricula, and/or educational programs for business unit or organization. Design, develop, deliver and evaluate courses, programs, systems and services to support laboratory technical training system needs and ensure effectiveness and compliance. May specialize in course delivery, instructional design, implementation, vendor selection and needs assessments. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:

  • Implement, operate, design, administer and/or document laboratory - based technical training programs, practices and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and current industry standards.

  • Assist with the establishment of goals and objectives for assigned functional area instruction. Conduct assessments of training activities, employee progress and course and trainer effectiveness as applicable.

  • May develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness and conducts training needs assessments.

  • Develop courses and tests using a variety of instructional strategies and applications as applicable. May be involved in vendor selection.

  • Maintain competency to perform all activities in assigned functional area as applicable.

Scope

Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Apply subject matter knowledge. Capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

Shift - 1st Shift Mon-Fri

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. May include technical certification, MLS(ASCP), BB(ASCP) or SBB(ASCP). Minimum of 3 years in blood banking experience.

Experience: Minimum 3 years related technical experience required or in assigned functional area to include fully successful completion of most recent competency assessment, if applicable.

Management Experience:

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:

Experience and education in instructional systems design or education may be required. Ability to work on a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to present information to groups of various sizes. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or applicable software applications.

Available for regular travel which may extend for a period of time.
