UCF Connect

UCF Connect is a partnership-driven unit within the Division of Student Success and Well-Being that supports all transfer student success through its DirectConnect to UCF and Transfer Connect programs. UCF Connect Centers, strategically located within an 80-mile radius of the UCF Orlando campus, offer an opportunity to complete several programs and provide access to various resources in its 10 locations across Central Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the organization's core business applications and web/mobile application needs. This includes developing new applications, maintaining and modifying existing ones, and working with partner/internal APIs and integrations with other systems.

• Responsible for database management, WordPress farm management, advanced queries/reports, designing and coding, and building stored procedures. You will also maintain and update websites, ensuring its proper functionality and security. Your knowledge of responsive and mobile web design will be essential in ensuring that the website is accessible on various devices.

• Responsible for infrastructure/server, including ensuring the proper functioning of hosting platforms and their associated components.

• The ideal candidate will comprehensively understand front-end and back-end web development, be comfortable working with various coding languages, platforms, and frameworks, and have experience with WordPress.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with .NET Framework, WordPress, C#, PHP, MS SQL, and REST Services.

• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Knowledge of Azure and Amazon Web Services hosting services.

• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Experience working in a team environment.

• Knowledge of Mongo Database and Express Node.
