Job Description The Loudoun County Department of Family Services is currently seeking talented and highly motivated candidates who are looking to work in a diverse, exciting, and fast paced work environment and have a desire to help Loudoun County residents obtain public benefits and work with staff to enhance their professional development. This position is responsible for providing training in policy and procedures for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP), Medicaid, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) programs. Responsibilities include providing on-boarding, support, and training to all newly hired Public Benefits staff, performing on-going review of case records to ensure compliance with State timeliness and accuracy, providing feedback to trainees and their supervisor on their performance and completing performance reviews. This position is also responsible for developing and providing refresher trainings to experienced staff. Additional duties include participating in meetings outside the agency regarding policy, procedures and system changes related to Public Benefits, developing and maintaining training and reference materials, and providing caseload coverage in the event of vacancies. The ideal candidate should have the following:
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field and two (2) years of professional experience in Public Assistance Programs or directly related experience with minimum one (1) year experience facilitating training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
