Job Description

We're hiring aProcess Technology Engineer to work at our Pasadena, TX manufacturing site. As a Process Technology Engineer, you will provide process technology development, design, and technical manufacturing support to our existing polyethylene/polypropylene (PE/PP) Specialty Catalyst business.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical process technology support to PE/PP plants at Pasadena, TX, and Tarragona, Spain.
  • Interact with R&D and develop ideas to increase plant productivity, decrease production costs, and improve overall EHS performance.
  • Support the scale-up and commercialization of new developmental polyolefin catalyst products in alignment with business objectives, transfer of existing products from one production unit to others while optimizing recipes/ performance of existing products.
  • Assist in medium-scale capital projects to achieve goals (scope development, material and energy balances, PID and PFD review, Process Hazard Analysis support, technology transfer and startup).
Physical Requirements and Environment
  • Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Chemical Engineeringwith a minimum of 5 - 10 yrs experience in the field
  • Strong academic background with strong theoretical foundation in unit operations and scale-up principles.
  • Experience with specialty chemical processes
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to contribute in multidisciplinary matrixed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Batch operations experience
  • Basic use of statistical knowledge, including Six Sigma quality tools.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D and/or chemical manufacturing plants
  • Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Suite) and process control.
