Cash Services Technician
Description:
SUMMARY: Maintain and repair Multi-Function Kiosks, ATMs and coin / currency processing equipment within the Cash Services Department. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in the minimum quest service expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and repair currency counting, verification, coin wrapping equipment and TITO Redemption Kiosks
Perform preventative maintenance on all cash services equipment
Repair and maintain bill stacker carts, bill stacker boxes and gaming boxes
Assist with internal and external guest service related problems
Monitor repairs of all cash services equipment / furniture
Assist with ATM and Multi-Function kiosk fills
Maintain uninterrupted services of ATMs and Multi-Function Kiosks
Assist Cashiers in the Vault to maintain an efficient operation as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
2-year electronic degree or 3 years electronic / mechanical experience
Skills
Required:
Accurate and detail-oriented
Strong organizational skills
Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent math skills
Preferred:
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment
Proven soldering skills
Abilities
Required:
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to independently or as a team complete multiple tasks in a professional manner
Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Preferred:
Proven ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify electronic components
REQUIRED TRAINING
Treasure Island guest service training
Training specific the equipment used at Treasure Island such as currency counting equipment, Multi-Function Kiosks, ATMs, soft count currency machine, and other vendor equipment training
Any position-related training as determined by department manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel routinely
Must be able to repetitively push, pull, grip and grasp objects
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipment
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Cash Services areas (including Vault), gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally overtime may be required
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
High volume direct public contact
