Responsibilities



  • Design and architect solutions on AWS Cloud and related technologies including S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Cloudwatch with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins, CICD.
  • Design, build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Educate clients and Junior Developers on Cloud technologies and influence direction of the solution.
  • Work with the SMEs to implement data strategies and build data flows.
  • Manage data related requests, analyze issues and provide efficient resolution. Design all program specifications and perform required tests.
  • Prepare codes for all modules according to required specification.
  • Monitor all production issues and inquiries and provide efficient resolution.
  • Evaluate all functional requirements, map documents, and troubleshoot all development processes.



Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field


  • 10+ years of success in consultative/complex deployment project, architecture, design, implementation and/or support of data and analytics solutions
  • Deep understanding of different database, analytics and migration services and structures within AWS, and the various trade-offs involved with deciding what services to use.
  • Experience migrating client workloads into AWS from other clouds (public or private) as well as traditional on-premise solutions
  • Experience managing client workloads across multiple AWS availability zones and regions
  • Experience with data modeling.
  • Experience with "on-premise to cloud migrations or IT transformations
  • Strong technical Experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, EC2, EFS, EBS, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Athena, Cloudwatch , SNS, SQS, SES, Glacier and Kinesis
  • DevOps engineering exposure to build CI\CD pipeline with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS DevOps (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeArtifact).
  • In depth understanding of big data tools: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, etc
  • Hands-on experience in any ETL Tool like Informatica or Talend
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
  • Implementation of security protocols.
  • Experience in creating tables, partitioning, bucketing, loading and aggregating data using Spark SQL/Scala
  • Experience with relational SQL, Snowflake and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
  • Strong understanding of Data Modeling and defining conceptual logical and physical data models.
  • Proven track record of building deep sales/technical relationships with CXO's and practice building executives within highly strategic system integrators.
  • Experience in managing various client relationships to get consensus on solutions.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Programming experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Spark, Scala, Shell Scripting.
  • Experience of working in Multivendor Cloud based application tailored environment.
  • Experience working on Agile projects.
  • At least 1 AWS Cloud Certification - Associate or Professional

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[125,000 - 145,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
