About this Position:

This role will provide vision and strategic leadership for all NA Safety related activities that will advance the Honda Motor 2030 Vision and clarify the path to Zero Traffic Collision Fatalities by 2050. All aspects of Honda's Safety for Everyone slogan are incorporated into the collaboration and coordination of the region's efforts. Specifically, the cross-disciplinary work in technology, human behavior, and process will be managed and lead by the person serving in this role, with final accountability to regional board executives.

What are the key responsibilities of this position:

Responsibilities include:



  • Lead the Regional Safety Strategy Committee; SED Cross-functional strategic vision building and regional action item responsibility (Co-Develop NA total safety roadmap)
  • Lead NA Regional activity for Traffic Fatality Reduction; Components complementary to new in-vehicle technology (Communication, Education, Training)
  • Manage Sustainability Safety Department; Comprehensive 4W/2W
  • Accountable for connecting the Safety pillar to other Sustainability activities
  • Accountable for business planning and reporting within Regional Planning


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 10 years, with background in safety planning
  • 5 years project management



Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field


Desired skills:



  • Experience in strategy creation, and project leadership

Total Rewards:



  • Competitive Base Salary: $104,900 to $157,400


Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
