Requisition Summary

Review, monitor, and execute all run out plans for Engineering Change Notice (ECN) Parts. Coordinate all Materials & Logistics activities for new replacement parts and obsolete parts to assure a smooth transition plan. Identify, Monitor, and mitigate Surplus and Obsolete inventory through active reduction plans. Support all engine projects for new replacement parts to minimize surplus and obsolete inventory.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review/approved ECN future Spec week changes; Verify parts are plannedcorrectly according to scheduled change.
  • Coordinate physical and systematic part changes and concessions.
  • Respond to production and material handling issues for change parts.
  • Review and monitor proper SAP consumption for parts concessions.
  • Review SAP Master Data/ MRP/ consumption/ BOMs/ concession issues and initiate corrective actions.
  • Follow up with Material Planners to ensure accurate planning for all ECN parts.
  • Perform Summarized Planning analysis and support Material Planners to maintain target inventory levels
  • Support product and process improvement activities including PPS, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Training, Etc.
  • Actively track and mitigate Surplus and Obsolete Stock through engineering concessions, product rework planning, and internal sales to other PACCAR divisions.
  • Support new model year and engine projects with part revisions/changes to minimize surplus and obsolete material.
  • Perform financial analysis of Surplus and Obsolete for reporting, savings, disposal and forecasting.
  • Coordinate all activities for quarterly declaration and disposal of Surplus and Obsolete material.
  • Support additional duties/activities concerning planning, surplus and obsolete materials, or other related issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation
  • Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Must be a positive contributor to a team environment required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of advanced systems and basic database relationships
  • Experience with SAP or other MRP / ERP system required
  • Material planning experience a plus
  • Computer literacy is required with a familiarity with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in Excel a plus
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule
  • Experience working with High Performance Work Teams a plus
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Continuous Improvement Concepts a plus
  • Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Training Certification Preferred
